Souper Bowl of Caring

We are collecting food items and monetary donations through Sunday, February 5th.

We will be meeting at the church at 11:00am on Saturday, February 4th, to make subs which will be sold on Sunday, February 5th as a fund raiser for the Souper Bowl of Caring.

We will be having a Souper Bowl Party at the Grube’s on Sunday, February 5th beginning at 5:00pm.  Bring something to share if you can.  Come and enjoy some food and good fellowship while watching the game on the big screen and cheering for your favorite team.

Youth Movie Night

Join Pastor Chris for a celebration of art and spirit.

Come and delight in the act of creation as we explore the arts as a means to express our spirituality.  Experienced facilitators will lead mini-workshops in a variety of artistic media including collage, clay, beads, paint, written word, movement and body prayer.  Each workshop will invite participants to enter the creative process through reflection on some aspect of their spirituality.  This engaging and interactive event is open to all who wish to claim- or reclaim– their imaginative, creative selves.  What better way to honor our Creator than to embrace our creativity?

Soup, Song & Study

February 22nd:  Ash Wednesday Service at 7:30pm

Mid-Week Lenten Services on Thursdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29.  Simple meals of soup & bread will be served starting at 6:30pm; Song & Study will begin at 7:30pm.  Come for evenings of reflection, renewal & relaxation during the Lenten season.

April 5th:  Maundy Thursday Worship at 7:30pm

April 6th:  Good Friday Vigil - The church will be open from 8am to 8pm with readings and quiet music available for prayer and meditation.

Southern Ohio Synod Congregational Lay Leaders Day

Saturday, February 25th

This year the host congregation is David Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Road, Canal Winchester.  The goal for the day is to equip you with materials and resources which will help you in your day to day ministry of leadership.  Everyone will spend time with Bishop Holloway at the beginning and end of the day.

In between, there will be 3 workshops:

 - Presidents & Vice Presidents with Bishop Holloway

 - Treasurers & Financial Secretaries with Karen & Roger Southward

 - Communicators (Newsletter Editors/Secretaries/Etc) with Susan Barton-Nonno

Women Walking With Christ…

Women are invited to meet at 1:00pm on the 4th Sunday of every month to participate in a study from The Gather Magazine on the gospel of Mark.  For February, we will be meeting on Sunday, February 26th.

Yoga - Sunday, February 26th

Yoga will be held at 2:30pm-4:00pm on the 4th Sunday of every month.

Students at all levels will be comfortable in these classes where  the emphasis is on awareness and acceptance of one's own uniqueness.  Come with an empty stomach, comfortable clothing, and an open heart.

There is no cost.  Bring an exercise mat if you have one.

Wednesday Bible Café

Aaron, our MIC Student, will be leading a study on Prayer and Meditation to be held on February 1st, 8th, and 15th.

Dinners with Centerburg Place continue…

Grace has teamed up with folks from Centerburg UMC  to provide meals and strengthen relationships with the residents at Centerburg Place.  This is a cooperative in which we can “get to know our neighbors” and help provide a nourishing meal to them on a continuing basis.  If you would like to help in any way, please contact Sandy Bell on our Outreach team…And may we each grow in faith & love through this ministry!
